I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker certified in Virginia and Maryland, providing therapy to adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and intimacy concerns, and major life transitions. I have experience working with clients ages 12 and up in private practice, outpatient, and community-based settings.
I especially enjoy working with individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in unhelpful relational patterns, weighed down by past experiences, or uncertain about their next steps. Many of the clients I work with are navigating identity development, relationship challenges, academic or career stress, and the complexities of adolescence and young adulthood.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that meaningful change happens within a safe and attuned therapeutic relationship. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, mindfulness-based practices, and solution-focused interventions. I work to balance insight-oriented exploration with practical skill-building so that clients not only better understand themselves, but also leave sessions with tools they can apply in their daily lives.
I prioritize creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I value open dialogue and tailor our work to align with each client’s strengths, goals, and lived experiences. Together, we focus on strengthening emotional regulation, improving communication and boundaries, processing difficult or traumatic experiences, and fostering greater self-compassion and resilience.
I am committed to providing affirming care and welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds. My goal is to help clients feel not only supported, but also gently challenged in ways that promote growth and long-term well-being.
Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and finding the right fit is important. I am happy to connect with you to discuss your hopes for therapy and explore how we might work together toward meaningful change.
