Personal Experience & Biography

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 10 years of clinical experience, offering therapy to adults and couples in Washington, DC, Virginia, and New Hampshire. My intention is to provide a calm, supportive space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood, and where it feels safe to explore what brings you to therapy at your own pace.

I work with individuals and couples who may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. In our work together, I aim to support you in developing greater self-awareness, understanding your emotional experiences with more compassion, and gently strengthening your ability to express your needs—both within yourself and in your relationships.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, my work is informed by family systems theory, with attention to how early relationships and family-of-origin experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. I am especially interested in supporting clients as they work through past trauma, explore identity, and make sense of long-standing emotional or relational patterns.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research-supported approach that can help people process traumatic or distressing life experiences in a way that feels contained and manageable. I also incorporate elements of Gottman Method Couples Therapy to support couples in building understanding, connection, and emotional safety. My approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from somatic therapies, mindfulness, and mind–body practices, while always adapting to each client’s unique needs and goals.

I am a LGBTQIA+–affirming and non-monogamy-affirming therapist, and I am committed to offering a space of acceptance, respect, and care—particularly for those who have experienced marginalization. I believe therapy can be a place to reconnect with a sense of safety, belonging, and self-trust.

I identify as White, queer, and non-disabled. I am a mother and a spouse, and I use she/her pronouns.
