Personal Experience & Biography

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who comes from a systemic background that looks at all parts of a family system. I believe in the importance of looking beyond the individual into how their relationships with others and themselves shape who they are. I aim to create space for families and couples to explore their experiences in a safe, supportive environment that is open to all. I am a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. I have specialized training and experience in treating topics including crisis related concerns (e.g., suicidal ideation, substance use), communication concerns, family and couple conflict, affair recovery, parenting neurodivergent children, and mood issues including anxiety and depression.

I believe that all humans have an innate desire to move towards positive change and self-actualization. The opportunity for change comes from awareness and exploration of life experiences. I aim to create a safe, open, and collaborative environment so that there is safety in creating intentionality to integrate sustainable change. I am grounded in attachment theory and utilize Attachment Based Family therapy (ABFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support clients through their journey. When working with parents of neurodivergent children, I utilized a blended approach of psycho-education and attachment based parenting. My goal is to help you understand your child’s nervous system and ways to tailor parenting skills to best support your child. Further, Narrative and strength-based approaches to support families in sharing their story and be heard among one another. Overall, I aim to create a safe environment to walk along clients in their journey to a better understanding of the relationship with themselves and others.
