weekly process group for women in the mental health field with emotionally immature mothers.
Have You Called Your Mother?!
Are you the daughter of an emotionally immature, neglectful, narcissistic, or highly critical mother? Becoming a mental health provider may have felt like a natural progression: you learned to care for others long before it became your profession, with hyper-attunement and people pleasing in your back pocket. This space is designed for therapists, counselors, and other mental health professionals who want to continue to explore the impacts of their experiences with others who understand, and who want to know they’re not alone.
Group Details:
- Strengthen insight into the impacts of your experience of growing up with an emotionally immature mother.
- Explore common symptoms including shame, invisibility, low self-worth, people
pleasing, codependency, overworking, perfectionism, reactivity, and more. - Explore your journey as a mental health provider, carrying the traumas and
struggles of others while still managing the lasting effects of your own experiences,
understanding the skills that make you successful in your professional world. - Explore themes of acceptance and grief.
- Empower group members to lead more fulfilling lives through boundaries, guilt,
self-advocacy, and self-care. - Explore the role and experience of anger and resentment.
This group is virtual and meets weekly. Reach out to schedule an intake! For group inquiries and additional questions, you can email Christina directly at christina@
